"We are lucky to have such a terrific resource in our community. I love taking my history students to visit the Root House because I consider it to be an excellent model of how to interpret a historic house." -Jennifer D. "I would highly recommend this museum to anyone who has an interest in local history or the antebellum time period. The tour was very informative and the house itself was like stepping back in time. I only wish I lived close enough to visit more." -Ashley S. "The whole family learned something and my teens enjoyed the tour, too." -Teresa P. "Lots of great little touches make it easy to imagine the folks still living there. A wonderful experience, and given that my wife and I both write Civil War history, we're not an easy audience to please. We highly recommend it." -Robert S. |
